Head Pro Dale Hersch:
Dale Hersch has been the Director of Tennis with the DTC for 12 years. After playing #1 for San Francisco State University while earning a B.A degree in Psychology, Dale moved to Germany where he played Team Tennis for Ober-Moerlen R.C. He also served as the club's Head Pro. Upon his return to California, Dale worked for CompuTennis as an analyst, spending most of his time working under legendary coach Dick Gould at Stanford, and at the Adidas Tennis Camps in Pepperdine and UC Irvine. In 1989 he moved
back to his hometown of Davis, where he became the General Manager and Teaching Pro for Pinnacle Fitness and Tennis Club. In 1996, he partnered with Mark Garrison to head the DTC Instructional Program.
Mark left in 2001, and Dale now solely owns and operates the program. Dale has been the boy's tennis coach for Davis High School since 2003, where he has led his team to 3 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section finals, and 2 Section Championship, where both year's the team went on to place third in the CIF Northern California High School Tournament. 2005 also marked the first time that Davis was invited to play in the prestigious National High School All-American Tournament in Newport Beach, Ca.
Dale's program is very active with the Sacramento Area Tennis Association, participating in the USTA Summer Junior Team Tennis League. Many of his juniors are ranked in Northern California, and a few are nationally ranked. His Summer Junior Camps have brought in over 250 students in each of the past three summers.
